Health is wealth, but a lack of good health can lead to certain limitations in life. Recent studies have shown that millions of individuals suffer from stress.  When stress is left untreated, this can lead to chronic stress, which can develop into severe health complications in the future. Here are a few helpful tips on how to lower levels of stress within the body throughout the day.

Consider Massage Therapy

Studies suggest that massages can help lower levels of stress in the body. When the body becomes tense due to stress, this can ultimately lead to restlessness over time. Incorporating regular massages into your daily routine can help relax the muscles in the body and promote positive sleep routines.

Furthermore, adding essential oils such as lavender and peppermint into your massage routine can also help reduce levels of stress in the body. Scents such as lavender help relax the mind, which can help promote sleep to decrease levels of stress. Adding these scents into massage therapy may help increase the results of regular massage therapy.

Plan Ahead

Staying prepared and on top of your schedule can help lower levels of stress in the body. Of course, life has its surprises, but creating a schedule for yourself will help you stay on top of your tasks. Weekly planning or schedules should be created before the start of a workweek, to help plan free time.  Improved organization can ultimately help lower levels of stress and positively contribute to overall health.

Meditation

After every day, it’s essential to dedicate at least thirty minutes to practise mindful meditation. Accumulated stress can lead to health problems such as high blood pressure, anxiety, heart attack, and stroke. Practising meditation can help lower levels of stress in the body by helping place the mind at ease. Meditation is also a great way to reflect on the day to recognize the things that went well, and what can be done for improvement in the future. Aim to practise your meditation in a distraction-free zone to maximize the effectiveness of meditation.
